This content is for the Kenek Edge pulse oximeter.

Intended Use

The Kenek Edge pulse oximeter by LionsGate Technologies (LGThealth) is an iOS app (available from Apple App Store) and audio-port finger sensor (available from Amazon) for spot-checking blood oxygen saturation (SpO2) and heart rate.  The device should only be used while the user is not moving and not engaging in vigorous activity.

The Kenek Edge pulse oximeter is not a medical device and is not intended or available for sale for medical or clinical use by physicians or patients.

Extended or Overnight Recording

The Kenek Edge pulse oximeter can record measurements of SpO2 (blood oxygen saturation) and pulse rate. For more details read this article on how to record measures, change the period of recording, and to export data or this article for tips on extended or overnight recording.

Graphing Your CSV Data

The Kenek Edge pulse oximeter records and exports comma separated values data files (CSV) that can be read by a human or imported easily

On your PC:

After exporting the selected file and saving it on your PC, import it into a spreadsheet program such as Excel (Microsoft Office), Numbers (OSX), or gSheets (Google).  Once imported to a spreadsheet, the data can be viewed as a scatterplot.

As a example, we refer you to Microsoft's on-line directions for generating scatterplots in Excel:
        https://support.office.com/en-us/article/present-your-data-in-a-scatter-chart-or-a-line-chart-4570a80f-599a-4d6b-a155-104a9018b86e

On a browser:

See the following article for details on the Kenek Grapher.

After exporting the selected file and saving it on your PC, open a browser to

http://kenekedge.com/grapher/

Click the Browse button and select your saved data file.  A graph and statistical summary should appear immediately.

Create your own on-line plots:

To create your own plots, here is a simple recipe using a free on-line graphing service Plot.ly: - send your CSV file to yourself on a computer with a browser and save as a file - using the Web browser, go to https://plot.ly/create/ (no need to login or create an account) - the Chart Type should be "Scatter plot" - click on Import in the upper right - drop your CSV file on the upload window - under Chart Type, select the menu for Y and set to 'C'

You should see a scatter plot of the SpO2 values.

If you set Y to 'B', you will see the heart rate values.

If you want to examine the data more closely, move your mouse over the scatterplot and you should see a variety of icons in the upper right of the scatterplot window.  If you click on the first one (a magnifying glass icon), you can then grab (click-hold-pull-release) to select parts of the data and it will blow them up for you to inspect more closely.
